About Rosehip Seed Oil

Rosehip Seed Oil** has a very soothing, moisturizing and softening effect on the skin. It is useful in treating oily and sensitive skin, and reducing fine lines around the eyes.

It is a classic and luxurious vegetable oil that is very effective for cell and tissue regeneration. It returns colour and life to damaged skin. It is rapidly absorbed by the skin and does not leave any fatty residue, even when used undiluted (this is what we recommend).

Clinical studies have shown that Rosehip Seed Oil is beneficial in treating seriously burned patients. Healing was faster than otherwise and the rejuvenation of skin tissue was superior to other treatments.

Similar studies have shown Rosehip Seed Oil to aid in the treatment of scars that cause tightening of skin. Also it healed skin damaged by UV rays—over-exposure to sunlight—and reversed the ageing effects of this type of skin damage.

Harvested from the seed of a native wild rose growing in Southern Chile, it has been used for centuries in South America for its remarkable healing, moisturizing and rejuvenating qualities.

It has been shown to aid cell regeneration, boosting levels of collagen—vital for skin elasticity—and elastin—also important for keeping skin supple, to create smoother, firmer skin.

It also helps to reduce pigmentation and raised scar tissue by promoting healthy skin renewal—it is effective even on old scars. Rosehip Seed Oil helps to prevent and fade stretch marks.

It is also a powerful antioxidant. When applied to the skin daily it protects from free radical damage, associated with the harmful influence of sun, weather and ageing.

Rosehip Seed Oil is an entirely natural source of Omega 3 and Omega 6, both collectively known as Vitamin E, useful in membrane and cell regeneration and normalizing skin with large pores.

Rosehip Seed Oil is best applied at night, before bed. Pat a few drops—six to eight is plenty—gently onto your skin in the affected area; there is no need for massage, as you will see, the oil is absorbed very quickly.

You will begin to see improvement almost immediately—within 24 hours for many—but the real benefits for this amazing natural product will occur over a period of three to four weeks when you use it regularly. For seriously damaged or scarred skin, improvement will continue to be experienced over four to six months.

There are a few precautions: Because this is a natural, preservative-free vegetable oil, it loves to be treated gently. Store your Rosehip Seed Oil in a cool—below 25C°, dark place. Use within six months of purchase. Avoid touching the dispensing dropper with your fingers or hands, particularly if they are wet.

Our organic* oil is a lovely, rich, deep-rose colour. The best oil has a mild, nutty scent. This to be expected for a natural product, free from petrochemical ingredients and chemical preservatives.
